Lincoln Land Community College is seeking a professional to join our team as the Compliance and Prevention Coordinator and provide centralized leadership, direction and supervision for efforts to comply with Title IX of multiple education amendments and other related federal and state laws; provide case management by processing cases effectively and efficiently; be a resource for policy interpretation and presentations/workshops on harassment and discrimination issues.
Essential job functions:
Maintain a system for reporting and investigative procedures that will ensure complaints, reports, and investigations of sexual misconduct, harassment, and discrimination are handled in a prompt, consistent, and equitable manner in accordance with federal and state regulation and college policy
In consultation with the Director of Employment & Benefits/ Deputy Title IX Coordinator, coordinate investigations of sexual harassment, harassment, and discrimination complaints from students, staff and faculty
Conduct preliminary inquiries, obtain and review documents and other relevant materials from complainant and/or respondent, and securely maintain documentation of all complaints through final outcome
Determine appropriate interim measures for a complainant upon learning of a report or complaint of sexual violence (in consultation with the AVP Student Success and other college officials), direct complainants and respondents to appropriate support services
Manage the logistics of the investigation and adjudication (and appeals) process; assume responsibility for all communications with complainants and respondents
In consultation with the AVP Student Success and other college officials, maintain and revise policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws
Develop and implement Title IX, VAWA, SAVE, and ILPSVHE training program for students, staff and faculty, which include, but are not limited to: awareness, prevention, risk reduction and policies and procedures for reporting and obtaining support services
Develop and facilitate training for responsible employees, confidential employees, confidential advisors, students, etc.
Oversee the development and dissemination of educational materials, including brochures, posters and web-based materials that inform the college community of responsibilities for reporting
Chair the Trend Identification & Accountability, SAVE and ILPSVHE Institutional taskforces; Serve on ad-hoc and standing committees on matters pertaining to campus safety and sexual harassment/discrimination

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience but will be no less than $53,104 per year with an excellent benefits package. Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years professional work experience in Higher Education or related field OR Masters degree with 1-3 years professional work experience in Higher Education or related field.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret federal and state non-discrimination laws and regulations, including Title IX, FERPA, Violence Against Women Act, Campus SAVE Act, the Illinois Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education Act, the Clery Act and other applicable laws and regulations.
