The Director of Student Services provides oversight for the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior (SEHHB) Student Services office which provides advisement services for students; administrative support for enrollment in courses; and serves as the primary contact for recruiting and student support in the SEHHB. The Director provides leadership and management for an office of academic advisers, civil service employees and student workers who support and supply services to undergraduate and graduate students, teacher candidates, program directors, and the Dean's Office. Duties include but are not limited to: - Supervise, recruit, on-board and retain a diverse office staff; Develop and deploy professional development strategies to enhance organizational knowledge of enrollment management and ensure superior student support; Support school planning and equity and inclusion projects. - Direct the academic advising of the school and work closely with academic advisors to ensure that a proactive and high-quality approach is taken with all student advising needs; Provide training and professional development as necessary to support advisors; Create differentiated and effective advising that focuses intensely on BIPOC and international student completion. - Work closely with school leadership, program directors and external partners to develop enrollment goals and objectives; Develop, implement, and oversee the execution of short- and long-term enrollment management plans that include strategies to recruit and enroll traditional undergraduate, transfer, returning adult, graduate, online and a diverse student population. - Develop and implement plans for prospective and active students as they matriculate, paying particular attention to racially diverse and international students, so students thrive and are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities at SIUE. -Design and participate social media campaigns for both current and prospective students to inform of ways to engage within the school. - Coordinate recruitment efforts for the school with significant focus to recruit and support racially diverse students for all programs and liaison with external enrollment partners to establish pathways to both undergraduate and graduate programs; Design and participate social media campaigns for both current and prospective students to inform of ways to engage within the school.

-Master's degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or related field preferred. Other Master's degrees accepted with five or more years of relevant experience. -Demonstrated ability to support students across diverse communities, especially students from underrepresented populations. -Knowledge of theories and practices related to equity and inclusion in higher education. -Knowledge of best practices within the higher education student development and support field. -Ability to collaborate and cooperate with advising units from across campus to improve advising. -Skills in using software applications and internet based programs (MS Office, databases, learning management systems, social media platforms, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks and duties.
Experience in leading an advising office, enrollment management and/or student engagement initiatives is preferred.
