Menlo College’s School of Business offers bachelor’s degree programs with four majors, Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing, and various areas of concentration. Menlo College has accreditation from AACSB and WSCUC.
The School of Business at Menlo College seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in Accounting. A well-qualified candidate at a rank appropriate to the credentials of the applicant must be prepared to teach in more than one area in the Accounting program, including upper-level Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Audit, Tax Accounting or Accounting Ethics. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of courses in Accounting. The successful candidate must have completed and have earned a doctorate in Accounting or a related field. Candidates who are currently doctoral students must be on course to complete all degree requirements by July 31, 2022.
The School of Business is open to research and teaching interests in areas related to the applicant’s strengths and must be committed to maintain the AACSB and Menlo College’s definition of Scholarly Academic (SA).

Expectations of the Ideal Candidate
Come equipped with relevant work experience and/or research directly related to Accounting
Identify areas of interest in Accounting as a basis for an active research agenda
Possess expertise in one or more key areas of Accounting
Be active in one or more Accounting professional associations
Teach in more than one area of Accounting listed above
Produce and maintain scholarship that is grounded in business practice
Engage actively in shared governance and other service assignments
Mentor and advise undergraduate Accounting students
Contribute to curriculum assessment as needed
Participate in a collaborative and supportive environment with colleagues who have substantial business experience and research expertise
Participate in courses and programs that are project-based collaborations between students, faculty, and local companies
Serve as faculty advisor to Accounting majors
Build relationships with Accounting organizations and act as a liaison to accounting professionals in the Bay Area
