What you’ll achieve
As Legal Counsel, you will provide support to Dell Technologies Services – our globe-spanning services business and the lead partner in Dell customers’ transformation to a digital future.Whether keeping end users up-and-running in a work-anywhere world or advising on and managing the infrastructure of the world’s largest enterprises, DT Services is central to customer outcomes. You will be one of its key trusted advisors, and you will join a diverse and dynamic team that prioritizes personal and professional harmony.
Provide legal counsel on a wide variety of business issues with a focus on commercial risk mitigation
Negotiate customer contracts for a wide range of service engagement types, including in connection with infrastructure consumed as-a-service
Assist service portfolio teams in the development and launch of new service offerings; analyze legal/regulatory landscape and provide advice to management on interpretation and compliance
Develop / lead strategic initiatives and programs designed to enable the Services business; collaborate with various legal teams and across functions to identify and assess risks/opportunities, creatively problem-solve, determine practical solutions, and drive to conclusion
Shadow other legal team members to expand expertise for role / career growth; “Give back” through the ability to participate in a variety of pro bono, volunteering, and other charitable opportunities
JD degree with admission to at least one state bar; 3+ years corporate and/or commercial transactions experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal environment
Excellent negotiation, oral and written communication, and contract drafting skills; ability to serve as strong adviser to the business, be a solid team player, and exercise sound business and legal judgment
High-energy and intellectual curiosity; eagerness to dig in, establish project ownership, problem solve and drive projects to successful completion
Ability to manage multiple tasks, including transactional work and strategic projects, and set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Interest in technology and ability to master the basics of Dell’s products and solutions so as to enable the structuring of complex transactions
Experience working with services and consumption (“as-a-service”) contracts is a plus
Experience with information technology industry is preferred
