The candidate will be primarily responsible for new market and broker onboarding for APAC trading accounts. This role will also involve supporting the team to deliver strategic projects for the region. It will involve working closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Account Managers, Operations, Compliance, Legal as well as external service providers and partners such as Custodians, Brokers and market utility providers. The role sits within the APAC projects and onboarding team within the Operations department which will give the candidate visibility to strategic global projects and the opportunity to be involved in the implementation of new trading initiatives, new markets and new products across APAC. The candidate will gain deep knowledge of how APAC markets operate, learn project management skills and build a network with service providers. This position requires good communication skills, acute attention to detail, and an aptitude for managing multiple processes and competing requests in a timely manner. Job Description: ??? Onboarding coordination: I. Coordinate and complete all onboarding tasks and documentation with custodians, brokers, service providers and internal teams. This can include completing broker's account opening forms, custodian's market opening forms or collating broker's information to fulfil PIMCO's internal broker approval requirements. II. Collate the KYC requirements from brokers, source the information from the internal teams and facilitate any Q&A. ??? Stakeholder management: I. Respond to queries, provide status updates and manage the expectations of requestors on the onboarding progress in a timely manner. II. Understand and discuss the KYC requirements with brokers to efficiently onboard them ??? Documentation and Data management: I. Record and track status of all account onboarding requests for new markets and new brokers. Key markets in-scope include China, Korea, Taiwan, India as well as other Asia EM/ Frontier markets. II. Manage maintenance of key onboarding data such as expiry of documents and registrations required by the different market supported. ??? Ad-hoc Project Support I. Support team members in project management activities as required. E.g. planning, execution, reporting II. Support team members in completing reporting, project decks and stats/ metrics as required and other adhoc tasks/duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: ??? University degree in finance, accounting, or economics preferred. ??? 1-3 years' experience in the financial service industry. ??? Experience in Investment Operations (Middle or Back Office) or Trade Support or Onboarding is a plus ??? Self-motivated, problem solver, detail oriented, resourceful ??? Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management. ??? Ability to work effectively with local and global teams in Americas and EMEA. Thus, at times needs to be flexible in working hours. ??? Good written and verbal English communication skills. ??? Experience with MS computer applications, proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheets, Visio and Add-In applications, such as SQL/macros/business objects are a plus
