With minimal supervision, provide proactive servicing to assigned clients as part of VSP's customer retention strategy. Act as an expert advisor on client service and operations related issues. Plan and coordinate sales activities associated with qualifying and selling to prospects; the installation of new client's changes to existing clients and renewals.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and sales personnel to identify and understand customer requirements as they relate to VSP's products and service offerings.
In collaboration with Account Executive, develop and manage Sales Strategies to target growth and retention of the client base.
In collaboration with Account Executive, develop and manage Client Development Plans to include strategic objectives, communication, growth, and retention strategies.
Develop and manage the implementation of new clients to ensure implementation according to requirements within the specified time frame.
Ensure client requirements are documented and that business partners involved understand and agree to the requirements.
During proactive servicing, market the value of VSP programs and services to gain adoption with assigned clients.
Conduct Client Partnership Reviews and proactive service calls to existing accounts ensuring that client satisfaction is maintained. Identify problematic issues and offer alternative solutions. Escalate to the appropriate business partner and drive solutions as needed.
Coordinate with other VSP departments and clients to resolve client issues and maintain client satisfaction.
Enhance and maintain a working knowledge of existing and new products/services and other general information to ensure accurate information is provided to clients.
Utilize sales automation system to maintain current client and prospect records.
Prepare and conduct presentations to clients and client members at open enrollment meetings and benefit fairs to encourage the selection of VSP as part of the employee's benefit package.
Provide support for prospecting and selling activities to increase revenue growth.
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Two to four years of account management and client service experience
Strong understanding of VSP products and services
Ability to manage multiple concurrent account implementations and business issues
Strong understanding of VSP business objectives and the business environment
Work within an agile environment demonstrating a proven ability to adapt to change quickly
Proven problem identification and solving capabilities
Active listening skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Working knowledge word processing and spreadsheet applications
The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
