To work with the Associate Director of Marketing and Recruitment along with the Director to develop, coordinate, execute marketing and communication strategies for the purpose of recruiting students to Mississippi State University.
1. Oversee, manage, and supervise the communications coordinator and web content designer. 2. Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and communication plans for high school students, parents, and counselors. 3. Execute various print and electronic campaigns in support of the overall communication plan for prospective students. 4. Draft and design ad hoc correspondence 6. Work seamlessly with the Assistant Director of Data Management to implement print and electronic campaigns. 6. Work with the Director of Orientation to execute marketing, communications, and overall communication plans for orientation and all on campus events. 7. Lead the development of printed materials from creation to delivery, including but not limited to developing the formal RFP. 8. Maintain and update publications and supply inventory related to the communication plan. 9. Oversee the distribution of publications and promotional items to schools, students, counselors and administrators for the recruitment of students. 10. Work with the Associate Director and Director to coordinate the process of publishing the pieces used for student recruitment and marketing. 11. Maintain a current understanding and expertise related to emerging trends, technologies and best practices in higher education, admissions, and marketing. 12. Work in conjunction with the Student Recruitment office to implement recruitment strategies and increase enrollment. 13. Assist the Associate Director in coordinating efforts across print and electronic messaging to prospective students, parents, and counselors 14. Work with the office of Public Affairs to ensure all branding and visual identity standards are met. 15. Serve as the liaison with vendors to enhance marketing strategies 16. Implement new marketing strategies to increase new student enrollment 17. Serve on university marketing and communication committees as needed. 18. Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director and Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing.

MINIMUM FOCUS Education Bachelor's Degree Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, Communication, Marketing, or a related field
Experience (yrs) Three years Directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Preferred Qualifications 1. Masters Degree 2. Expertise in a variety of software programs including graphic design programs and content management programs
