This position is responsible for driving applications from exceptional campus candidates through university relationships and internal diversity-focused programming. To achieve these outcomes, this person will need to find the right balance between building scalable virtual engagement tactics and deepening relationships at schools where our most skilled and diverse talent comes from.
Someone who will thrive in this role will have experience working at a high-caliber organization focusing on campus branding, university relations, prospect outreach, and event management. They also will be able to strategize around the nuances of building relationships at different school types like Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) as well as within degrees like MBAs, PhDs and bespoke BA programs.
Ideal candidates for this position will have a Bachelor's degree with proven work experience in recruiting, learning and development, or university career services. The position is in New York City and reports to the Global Head of Campus Recruiting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop strategy, build programs and maintain relationships with careers services and societies at top HBCUs, HSIs and other partner universities
Build partnerships with hiring managers and business recruiting leads in order to aid and advise with recruitment strategy and enhance the delivery of a seamless process.
Foster recruiting partnerships with our internal clients including school alumni, steering committees and organizations.
Partner in the strategic planning, implementation, and execution of the Firm's diversity recruiting initiatives including PIMCO Prep and the PIMCO Black Scholarship.
Build PIMCO's brand on campus through traditional and non-traditional advertising, including but not limited to: the PIMCO website, job posting, event sponsorship, virtual events, direct outreach to students and clubs, and career fair participation.
Be a team player, eager to assist colleagues in any area of Campus Recruiting and Human Resources.
Plan and execute the Global Summer Internship Program, in partnership with the broader Campus Recruiting team.
Desired candidates should possess the following characteristics:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
2-5 years of relevant work experience
Excellent technology skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Power Point
Able to work independently and as part of a team; intuitive, quick learner - willing and able to handle steep learning curve
Thoughtful and demonstrates good judgment and strong decision-making skills; ethical
Strong organizational and project management skills; attention to detail
Ability to prioritize; work on and complete multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to network with various departmental personnel and outside parties
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
