Assists with the daily operations of a department or unit. May also oversee a function or major project / program within a department.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as a four-year academic advisor and subject matter expert to approximately 125-150 BSBA degree candidates.
Serves as a second major/minor advisor to non-business degree candidates â“ number will vary.
Serves as functional area liaison, work with area faculty, career center advisors and become area expert, consult as needed on course sequencing and major revisions.
Works with assigned Olin student organizations to help them to develop their leadership skills.
Develops a comprehensive leadership development program for student organization leaders designed to help them gain and apply leadership skills for the benefit of themselves, their organizations and the school.
General academic, program, and university support including leading areas of program priorities and initiatives including maintenance of existing program external relationships.
Leads program initiatives that include recruitment, professional development and on-boarding activities.Â
Designs and leads development of prospective student presentations.
Serves as a supporting instructor for the first year student seminar.
Masterâ™s degree in higher education, business, or in a related field.
Extensive experience with advising, mentoring and working with college students.
Demonstrated success in designing leadership opportunities and working with students groups/related organizations.
Demonstrated success in curriculum development and delivery.
Commitment to designing and delivering excellent academic and student affairs.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
Willingness to travel up to 15% of time both domestically and internationally.
Bachelorâ™s degree and three years of related experience.
Some positions may require a masterâ™s degree.
$49,000.00 - $83,800.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
