Reporting to the Deputy Director of Admissions, the Senior Associate Director will direct the communications center which focuses on incoming communications with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The Senior Associate Director will be charged with thinking creatively to focus on enhancing practices within the Office of Admissions that including increasing the level of customer service for incoming calls and text messages, providing targeted responses to incoming messages, and fostering connections with other service units.
Developing and implementing a data driven incoming communications plan for the Office of Admissions
Serving as the liaison to other service units for customer service
Suggesting and implementing new outreach efforts to respond to incoming communications with prospective and admitted students
Managing the call center budget
Training the admissions staff on customer service initiatives
Supervising the communications center to ensure Undergraduate Admissions provides a high level of customer service
Supervising all staff members responsible for incoming calls, emails, and text messages
Building and maintaining positive relationships with prospective students and families, high school partners, and community organizations
Establishing an effective Counselor of the Day program
Managing a recruitment territory and a cohort of admission application decisions
Other duties assigned
3 years of professional work experience in higher education admissions or related field
Valid driver’s license
Experience overseeing customer service initiatives/call center
Experience using administrative software and other technology tools within a higher education environment
