What You Will Do
The Manager, University Relations will be responsible for the day to day operations of the North America university relations recruiting team. As a strategic talent advisor, you'll build partnerships with business leaders, HR Business Partners, as well as external partners to understand and enable Stryker's future organizational growth. The primary focus is executing all university related activities that directly support the hiring of students into intern, entry level, graduate and rotational programs. In addition to driving a culture of continuous improvement and development, you will inspire a team of recruiters to achieve greatness, lead projects/initiatives that propel our capability, and deliver flawless execution to the business.
Build and lead a highly effective and customer-facing team of TA professionals who are early talent experts, proactive, responsive, client-focused and ensure consistency in recruitment strategy/practices across the region in alignment with the Global Talent Acquisition Strategy.
Partner with Sr. Manager, Global Early Talent and key stakeholders (such as Diversity Recruitment, Talent Attraction etc) to develop and execute comprehensive campus, event, branding and external partnership strategy in order to achieve hiring goals for various programs
Oversee all activities, execution and continuous improvement of the North America internship program including program design, features, events and recruitment strategy
Direct recruiting team in execution and continuous improvement of university recruiting processes, tools and technology to identify, attract, recruit and engage a highly talented, diverse and qualified talent pipeline for Stryker's early talent programs
Coach, consult and influence business leaders and HR partners on early talent best practices, processes and programs to ensure that talent acquisition is driving the business to meet and achieve its goals.
Leverage external benchmarking, internal hiring and resource planning data to analyze trends, identify and solve potential issues and execute early talent planning and internship conversion processes
Drive a spirit of innovation and continuous improvement, advancing the quality, speed and experience of UR's processes and programs
Stay abreast of industry best practices, university and employment trends affecting the recruitment function and current employment legislation and policies.
Align regional processes and global processes, drive best practice standardization, promote accountability of metrics, and ensure team is meeting recruitment goals.

What You Need
Bachelor's Degree required.
8+ years of experience; at least 4 years in recruiting required
Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships at all levels within an organization; problem solving and proactive service orientation
Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change and meet deliverables in a complex environment
Preferred candidates will have 2+ years experience leading a campus recruiting team
