POSITION SUMMARY: In close partnership with other GFA team members, the Junior Associate will join an experienced operations team and be invited to join project teams in scoping, implementation, and delivery of projects that are high-profile, technical, and grounded in operational and project outcomes to clients in community healthcare. Projects will be seamlessly integrated into client delivery systems and set the stage for operational, strategic, compliance, and financial success. Additionally, the Junior Associate will be able to contribute to GFA’s own service line development, client relationship building, and business strategy. This position combines operational best practices with thoughtful communication, engagement, and hands-on implementation with clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Work both independently and in a team environment to deliver the highest-quality strategic and functional guidance for GFA clients. 2. Build long-term relationships with clients as a trusted, dependable advisor. 3. Prepare and present accurate, operational reports, analysis, presentations and work products to senior GFA and client stakeholders. 4. Create and prepare project artifacts and deliverables for key internal GFA stakeholders, clients and external compliance/regulatory bodies. 5. Develop presentations that align with presentation best practices using MS PowerPoint, Prezi, or similar software to be presented by Junior Associate or senior GFA team members. 6. Foster accountability with project team through accurate and timely creation and publication of meeting artifacts. 7. Access and interpret regulatory, compliance and operational best practice materials and package in meaningful ways for project stakeholders. 8. Provide recommendations to optimize efficiencies, reduce total cost, manage risk, maintain compliance, and improve the quality of delivering healthcare services. 9. Perform and interpret data-driven analysis of healthcare utilization and costs, reimbursement/billing issues, population health and clinical outcomes, productivity patterns and variations, and strategic trends. 10. Identify root causes of issues and design interventions that effectively resolve them. 11. Ensure consistency of approach related to analysis, techniques, and presentation of client recommendations/opportunities. 12. Investigate and research client issues through holistic investigations that utilize document analysis, environmental research, interviews and observations. 13. Develop interventions that are seamless and fully integrated with client operations to ensure that recommendations are actionable and appropriate to their context. 14. Document recommendations in reports that are precise, thorough, easy to read, and need minimal copy editing. 15. Create funding opportunity responses that are competitive and compliant with offering guidelines. Write grant narratives quickly and accurately. 16. Help facilitate communication between clients and project leads. 17. Communicate with clients in a way that creates enthusiasm and turns complex ideas into understandable tasks. 18. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: 1. People skills – warm and energetic personality who enjoys working independently as well as in a team environment. 2. Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university. 3. Desire to grow and learn new skills. 4. Experience in healthcare operations a plus. 5. Project management experience a plus. 6. Prior experience in a fast-paced work environment. 7. Strong attention to detail in writing, analytics, and compliance. 8. Demonstrated comfort with learning new technical platforms and analytics tools. 9. Ability to present complex data in a simplified and useful way. 10. Ability to fluidly link detailed analysis with strategic priorities. 11. Ability to solve problems independently and drive issues or projects to conclusion. 12. LOCATION: GFA supports a remote office environment. The Junior Associate will be required to travel to client locations an estimated 20% of the time and as needed.Ideal candidates will reside in Los Angeles County and have the ability to travel both locally and nationally.
