Detailed Job Description The Admissions Counselor works within a geographic region toward the successful recruitment of prospective students with hearing loss to RIT. Conduct student recruitment, plan and carry off travel logistics, process student applications to determine RIT admission, and work in various liaison roles toward enrolled student capacity.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Must be willing to travel roughly fifty days during the peak fall travel season and throughout the year.
Bachelor degree required.
American Sign Language fluency is required.
Must have been a college student in good academic standing, exhibiting the traits of a well-rounded college student.
Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (ASL and written English to communicate across communication modes).
View admissions work as a career path, good faith commitment to 3+ years of admissions work.
PLEASE NOTE: The individual hired for this position will be required to have a pre-employment Motor Vehicle check, and the Motor Vehicle Report must clear RIT's Safe Driving Policy (please refer to page 4)
