The Assistant Director of International Admissions will focus on international recruitment efforts for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This person will promote Wentworth at both on and off campus programs, which include public presentations. This staff member will manage a recruitment territory, building relationships with prospective students and their families, school counselors and representatives from community-based organizations. In this role, it will also be important to develop working knowledge of various high school curriculums in order to interview prospective students and evaluate undergraduate applications. This person will serve as a member of the admissions team and support the overall execution of strategic departmental and institutional enrollment goals. The Assistant Director of International Admissions reports to the Associate Director of International Admissions and collaborates with other recruitment and enrollment teams and departments across the institution.Required Qualifications:Bachelor?s degree and 2-5 years of experience in a higher education setting or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.Must have excellent public speaking, written, and verbal skills to support relationship building with prospective students and other constituents.A valid driver?s license is required.Preferred Qualifications:Skill and sensitivity of issues of diversity, equity and inclusion as they affect the college admissions process, a demonstrated commitment to building a strong and diverse applicant pool, and an awareness of how systemic economic and racial inequity in students? secondary school backgrounds impacts their application to college.Basic knowledge of the US immigration system and SEVIS preferred.Previous experience reading international applications preferred.Experience living or traveling abroad and proficiency in a language other than English preferred.Computer skills ? proficiency with Microsoft applications required; experience with Slate Technolutions is preferred.
