The University of New Haven is accepting applications for the position of Admissions Representative for our Undergraduate Admissions department. Serve as the primary Admissions email support specialist, providing timely, professional, helpful, welcoming and detailed email responses to prospective, new and current domestic and international students,
families, counselors, campus stakeholders and anyone else reaching out to the Office of Admissions.
Provide initial admissions information, assistance with the online application for admission, respond to routine questions regarding the admission process and requirements, and provide general overall assistance with inquiries made to the admissions email.
Refer new students, parents and visitors to the appropriate resources as needed
Review and accept required admissions paperwork and documentation, such as high
school transcripts, various test scores, documents and other forms
Acknowledge and direct emails to specific admissions staff or various campus
stakeholders that require a more detailed or specific response
Responsible for attending annual staff training/ staff meetings either in person or virtually
Review undergraduate admission webpages and recommend updates
Respect the privacy of students and maintain the privacy of student records and
Provide admission counseling to prospective students; responsible for day-to-day
communication with students via email
Provide exceptional customer service through courteous, informed, accessible and
Promote the University of New Haven to all prospective students and families, alumni,
industry colleagues, and community
• Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree required;
Ability to represent the University of New Haven in a variety of situations and be able to
competently interact with a diverse population of prospective students, faculty and staff.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Ability to learn technical skills and be proficient in our CRM system.
