The Admissions Counselor/On-Campus Recruitment Specialist is a student service focused professional who will provide direct student service to the College's diverse prospective students and their families and general information pertaining to admissions, college programs, course placement, and enrollment. The individual will utilize technology to promote the college to a broad spectrum of prospective students, assisting them through the onboarding process in person, online or via telephone. Additionally, they will assist students with utilizing self-service technologies such as EAB Navigate, self-service Banner, Degree Works and a CRM. They will be responsible for providing frontline student support for the Admissions office by answering phones, emails and assisting students in person. This position will primarily provide coverage for the Lowell Admissions office with occasional coverage in Bedford as needed.
Provide information, guidance and assistance to all populations of prospective students and their families with questions related to general and selective admissions, credit programs, course placement, registration and policies such as the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act and related activities.
Interact with prospective and new students in person, by telephone, email or Zoom regarding general and selective admissions, academic programs, course placement, course planning registration and degree audits.
Coordinate the data collection and submission of credit Certificate and Associate degree programs to the Training Pro website for unemployment benefit approval.
Assist with monitoring the Admissions email inbox and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
Organize accurate data entry into scheduling software such as Sched, 25Live, Calendly and other products.
Utilizing phone and email campaigns, engage in special population outreach initiatives for targeted groups of students, such as the adult student population.
Review selective program applications in the CRM.
Demonstrate to prospective and new students the use of self-service admissions technology such as the prospect inquiry form, the online application, EAB Navigate, Degree Works.
Utilize SIS Banner and the CRM (Target X) to help track students through the recruitment and application stages, assist prospective students with the application and confirmation process.
Assist in the processing of recruitment and event forms, utilizing the CRM and Banner.
Assist with the reconciling edit reports in CRM and Banner
Assist in processing of web and paper applications, review of high school transcripts and processing of supplemental admissions forms during peak enrollment periods.
Assist with occasional processing of Dual Enrollment, Concurrent Enrollment and Early College Admissions applications and registration form during peak enrollment periods.
Serves on college committees.
Performs administrative tasks associated with department activities
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean of Admissions.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or closely related field;
Two (2) years' experience and/or training involving college recruitment/admissions or enrollment, customer relations, or office administration.
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the community college mission and student population.
Experience with equity-minded work and/or understanding of individuals of diverse identities such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic level, sexual orientation and veterans, including those with different levels of academic preparation, varying physical and learning abilities.
Outstanding interpersonal, customer service, and verbal skills.
Knowledge of using a Student Information System (SIS) or other student registration applications.
Problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to change.
Experience in Ellucian Banner.
Experience in Ellucian Degree Works or EAB Navigate
Bilingual skills a plus.

Salary Range: Grade 4 starting salary with a Bachelor's degree is $52,754 - $75,632. Actual salary will be commensurate with academic background and experience per the MCCC Collective Bargaining Agreement. See http://www.mass.edu/shared/collbargaining/mccc.pdf
Location: Lowell campus with occasional travel to the Bedford campus and off-site recruitment events. During COVID restrictions, this position will primarily be both remote, and in person at the Lowell and Bedford campus as necessary.
Work Week: Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30 or 8:00am-4:00pm. Hours may shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement during peak recruitment times.
