1. Grant writer, editor, coordinator, and liaison: (Anticipated impact: a minimum of >$1M per year in increased sponsored research income (direct costs); significantly more in case of large collaborative grants.) 2. Scientific coordinator Coordinate scientific initiatives within Department of Immunobiology and between Immunobiology and other departments 3. Department public relations and outreach Oversee and advance departmental public relations to enhance Dept. profile within and outside of Yale through coordination of multiple platforms. 4. Department fundraising and commercialization of discoveries Coordinate with and support faculty in fundraising efforts through preparation of presentations to private donors working closely with the Yale's Development Office and Office of Cooperative Research Drive federal, industry, state and biomedical grant initiatives 5. Scientific Advisor to the Chair Ensure that chair and other department leadership are aware of opportunities and efforts in areas of responsibility: PR, fundraising, grant writing/organization, engagement, connections with other departments
Preferred Education: Combined previous experience of 5 years in science editing, consulting, scientific management, and/or grant writing and review.
