The Academy of the Holy Cross is accepting resumes for a College Counseling Assistant.

The AHC College Counselors are committed to guiding each girl and her family through a personalized college search.
The College Counseling Assistant supports the Director of College Counseling and the Assistant Director of College Counseling in facilitating the college counseling program for students of The Academy of the Holy Cross (AHC). The Assistant assists with the daily operations and general office management of a busy and bustling College Counseling office from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. during the academic year. Give our office's team approach, the Assistant will be in close communication with the college representatives, students and their families, and the college counselors on a daily basis.
Providing administrative support to the college counselors with daily tasks such as student and family meetings, greeting and meeting with college representatives
Maintaining the master calendar and scheduling appointments with college representatives, families and students
Coordinating the online calendar for college representatives and updating Naviance, RepVisits, AHC website, etc.
Meeting with college representatives when college counselors are unavailable
Serving as primary editor and manager of the databases for our college counseling program, Naviance
Working with the Naviance Application software to generate reports, and import data as needed (including sensitive and confidential student records, test scores, parent email addresses and college information)
Creating college materials and uploading them for electronic submission
Reading, proofreading and editing any correspondence from the College Counseling Office, including teacher recommendations
Compiling and sending application materials electronically and/or by mail on a time sensitive basis
Assisting in the planning and implementation of the two junior and senior college nights (video creation for these College nights a plus!)
Ensuring college representatives visits are scheduled and advertised
Communicating and working with Registrar concerning student transcripts
Meeting daily with Director and Assistant Director to determine tasks and prepare for homecoming events
Assisting in compiling information for School Profile, Graduation Program, Open House materials, and other publications as needed
Coordinating, disseminating and maintaining scholarship information
Creating and sending out quarterly scholarship newsletter to seniors from September through May
Create and send out bi-annual Diversity Programs newsleter
Compiling all mailings/email for the College Counseling Office
Coordinating and overseeing proctoring for PSAT exams
Oversee and update Summer Program master list
Perform other related duties as needed
Bachelor's degree required
Experience with Naviance and the college admission process a plus
Experience and ease with computers, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email, Internet and Social Media
Must have strong worth ethic, excellent organizational and follow-through skills, flexibility and high energy and a willingness to coordinate efforts with others
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a sense of humor are important when interacting with students, parents and college admission representatives
Must be able to work some evenings and weekends as required.
