We are looking for a talented Director, Brand and Communications (Macro Helix) to join our team. This role has responsibility for leading the Brand and Communications team that supports McKesson's Macro Helix business. The individual will oversee the development and oversight of strategic internal and external communications that serve to shape the McKesson culture and achieve established Macro Helix business goals. The individual will also serve as a trusted communications advisor for the VP/GM and his leadership team. The Director, Brand and Communications will report to the Vice President, Customer Operations. The preferred candidate will have experience working in the corporate agency setting with experience in both the healthcare and technology/data categories. The successful candidate will have experience working in a highly matrixed environment with an ability to build strong relationships and collaborative partnerships.
Director, Brand and Communications - Job Responsibilities
Develop and oversee the execution of external and internal training programs that serve as the foundation to supporting the business objectives of Macro Helix and the individual businesses within the Macro Helix structure.
Serve as a senior communications advisor to the VP/GM, Macro Helix and his leadership team.
Oversee the development and execution of internal communications messaging and platforms that reinforce Macro Helix priorities and reinforce connectedness across the Macro Helix business.
Partner with other leaders in Macro Helix and across the company to implement high value external events that achieve Macro Helix and PTIG business priorities.
Serve as an inspiring leader for the Macro Helix Brand and Communications team with a focus on growing our talent and elevating the team.
Serve as a strong partner for other leaders in Macro Helix as we work to grow our department and develop our talent.
Build and enhance relationship with key media and other external stakeholders.
10+ years of managing strategic communications programs and teams that improve the value of the company and 4+ years of management experience.
Demonstrated experience working to directly lead internal and external communications for a C-Suite executive
Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic communications programs that deliver demonstrated ROI
Experience working in public relations/communications roles in the corporate environment
Strong relationships and demonstrated record of working with healthcare, technology, and business media while delivering against demanding deadlines
Executive presence, a dynamic professional but "no ego," and the ability to inspire confidence among leaders and all stakeholders with whom this individual will interact

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead and inspire direct reports
Highly capable speaker, organized, confident, professional, focused and not easily distracted or rattled. Strong emotional intelligence is imperative

Excellent organization and project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects to budget and schedule
Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, mass media, information technology and/or communications or other related field required
Graduate degree preferred
