TheÂ Office of Sorority and Fraternity Engagement withinÂ Dean of Students Office (DSO) is seeking a full-time Coordinator ofÂ Sorority and Fraternity Engagement.â¯Â
This position will report directly to theÂ AssistantÂ Dean of StudentsÂ for Development and Student Leadership and Director of Sorority and Fraternity Engagement.Â TheÂ Coordinator ofÂ Sorority and Fraternity EngagementÂ will provide oversight and coordination of theÂ civic engagement activities within the sorority and fraternity community and coordinate office assessment practices.Â Â
TheÂ Coordinator ofÂ Sorority and Fraternity EngagementÂ will oversee all aspects of theÂ sorority and fraternity civic engagement efforts which includesÂ event registration, sorority and fraternity trick or treat, sorority and fraternity day of service, sorority and fraternity alternative spring break, and Greeks Go Green. The position lead assessment efforts related to chapter presidents, chapter fraternal awards of excellence, and impact of civic engagement. TheÂ Coordinator ofÂ Sorority and Fraternity EngagementÂ will serve as a primary advisor to one of Iowa Stateâs four governing council (CPC, IFC, MGC, NPHC).Â Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment,Â demonstrate incredible teamwork,Â have the desire to be highly engaged with students, and represent theÂ Office of Sorority and Fraternity Engagement andÂ Dean of Students Office.Â
Example of Duties â¢ Provides guidance, counseling, and resources to students for a variety of services. â¢ Delivers services and/or programming for students such as scholarship coordination, disability services, academic success programs, and resources, etc. â¢ Advises students on policies and procedures. â¢ Refers students to appropriate resources.
Level Guidelines â¢ Individual contributor position with developing professional and/or technical skills working under immediate to general supervision â¢ Grasps professional-level knowledge and concepts of field while working in a progressive learning mode â¢ Works on problems and issues of somewhat limited scope â¢ Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data for which answers are available or can be obtained â¢ Responds to inquiries and issues, escalating to manager or higher level workers as appropriate â¢ May lead projects of limited scope and complexity â¢ May provide guidance to students
