Friends Academy seeks a Physical Education K-12 Teacher who is a collaborative educator, a relationship builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience with early learners, with effective and engaging teaching strategies. A candidate who is seeking to thrive in a vibrant educational environment embraces change and has a deep interest in our Quaker mission and educational philosophy. As a full-time faculty member, this person will serve as a high school advisor for 8-10 students and coach at least two high school seasons which is a mandatory responsibility. Other support of activities that contribute to the life of the school and attendance at all-school and other meetings. Other duties as assigned is expected of all faculty members.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and possess the following
- Undergraduate Degree and Certified to teach Physical Education
- Facilitates children’s physical, cognitive and social, and emotional learning through lessons designed to sequentially develop skills appropriate to their ability and confidence levels
- Supports and engages in the school's work involving identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Qualified to coach field hockey, softball, or lacrosse
- Supervise and manage students in and out of the classroom, including athletic locker rooms. Able to drive a 14 passenger van
- Maintains appropriate licenses and training as required
- Meet the physical demands essential to this position
