The Arrupe Division (7th and 8th grades) of Boston College High School is seeking a full time Guidance Counselor to work with approximately 160 8th grade students, supporting their academic, social and emotional growth. Works with teachers and administrators, provides individual counseling and runs support groups. Plans and implements advisory curriculum, teaches classes on occasion and runs workshops. Serves as essential member of the Arrupe leadership team.
Degree in counseling, Master's preferred
Experience working with 7th and 8th grade students
Experience with advisory programs
Outstanding communications skills
Ability to work with students and parents and to collaborate with teachers, counselors and administrators to support students
