In collaborations with the Practice Director of Medical Specialty Operations, and the Clinical Medical Director (CMD) the Practice Manager provides operational leadership and direct oversight of the delivery of clinical services for Multi-Specialty clinic located in La Jolla. Position will partner with other site managers/staff in support of multiple sub-specialty medicine clinics.
Responsible for all aspects of clinical operations for assigned areas. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to, patient experience, personnel management, operational support to clinical faculty and staff, process & work flow evaluations & enhancements, equipment and facilities management, information technology, safety, data reporting, compliance and licensing.
Supervise and develop clinical and administrative personnel including area leads, nurses, medical assistants, call center and front desk personnel, administrative and student workers. Work closely and collaboratively with CMD, faculty and staff, revenue cycle, centralized registration and authorizations, UCSD Health Physician Group (UCSD-PG) administrators and leadership, and other key stakeholders to optimize Allergy's clinical operations. Oversee all TJC requirements and CQI projects throughout the department.
The Practice Manager is a key member of the department leadership team and works closely with the Practice Director, CMD, Division Chief, faculty and staff to develop and deliver an efficient, high-volume, high-quality, patient-centered experience to support the Division and Department's research, education, and clinical care missions. Reports directly to the Practice Director and Senior Director of Medical Specialty Operations.
Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
A minimum of five (5+) years or more years of relevant experience.
Experience and proven success in skills to effectively supervise patient care support staff. Strong knowledge of practice operations.
Experience with Epic.
Experience with Tableau & Excel.
Experience with budgets.
Experience with staffing/scheduling in a union environment.
Strong data and analytical experience.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
