The primary responsibility will be to lead an innovative tour program that serves prospective students and their guests in all tour related activities including but not limited to campus walking and bus tours, residence hall tours, bilingual tours, running tours, food crawls and Iowa City downtown tours. The position will provide oversight to the undergraduate tour guide coordinators, will recruit, hire, and provide regular ongoing training, support, and supervision to our undergraduate student tour guides.
Part of the position will be to help plan, coordinate, implement and manage on and off campus recruitment programs as well as recruit, provide information and guidance to prospective students and their families regarding university programs, student life, and admission policies and procedures.
ABOUT THE DEPT: The is dedicated to assisting and supporting prospective, new and current undergraduate students through services such as information sharing, campus visits, admission application and liaising with academic areas, financial aid, student life and advisors. Education and Experience Required
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, experience and comparable expertise is required.
Reasonable (1‐3 years) experience creating and managing program(s) or service(s) in a higher education setting
Reasonable experience collaborating with internal university academic units and student organization
Demonstrates a in:
Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and civil manner while appreciating
the unique contribution of individuals from varied cultures, race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
Knowledge of and ability to use common office support software including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Zoom, Skype
Oral and written communications skills, including the ability to present information to large groups.

Special Qualifications Required
Some evening and weekend work required.
A valid driver's license and the ability to meet the Fleet Safety Program guidelines.
The ability to move boxes and materials up to 40 lbs.
Master's degree in higher education, or a related field
Experience with higher education student recruitment.
Considerable tour program experience (typically 3‐5 years) in a post‐secondary academic setting.
Experience within the last 5 years in admissions work, educational agency serving college bound populations, or student service programs (student life, residence hall services, student organizations).
Demonstrates a in:
Ability to effectively transmit, receive, interprets ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors
Relationship and team management including experience working within one or more creative team(s).
