The role of the Technology Consultant is to drive technology adoption of Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture products and software. Working with Sales Account Managers when opportunities are identified, serving as the technical expert and trusted advisor to the customer, developing, presenting, and demonstrating system solutions, developing, and validating sales proposals, and assisting to close complex technical sales opportunities.
The Technology Consultant - Automation is responsible for supporting the sales team and channels providing pre-sales technical consultancy on Programmable Controllers, Networks, Visualisation, and Information Software systems engaging with a wide variety of customers including End Users, OEM's and system integrators across industry sectors. One role resource will have specific focus on Domain Expertise in Software products and solutions while the other will have Domain Expertise in Process Control technology and methodology.
Pre-sales support includes providing demonstrations, developing proof of concept and technology testing, system review/recommendations, customer visits, trade shows, conducting workshops, & seminars. There is also responsibility for workshop generation, creating presentations, application notes and white papers.
