The CO-OP + CAREERS Advising team supports Wentworth students in their mandatory cooperative education program by offering advising, education, programming, and ongoing support. We are a high functioning, collaborative, and caring team who believe in the benefits of the co-op education model. Advisors support students and alumni with their career exploration, co-op and career decision-making, job search efforts, and transition to and success within the workplace.We are looking for candidates who have experience in career advising/coaching, teaching, or recruiting, have strong interpersonal communication skills, can maintain detailed records, and are able to learn new technology platforms.CO-OPS + CAREERS offers a flexible work environment with remote and hybrid work options and considers adjusted work hours to encourage work/life balance.Job responsibilities:- Advise: Meet one-on-one and in groups, both virtually and in person, with students and alumni to provide career advising/coaching and critical feedback.- Monitor & Maintain Relationships: Implement an accurate system via Excel and Symplicity to monitor student and employer co-op experiences and to provide reporting. Maintain ongoing relationships with students and employers.- Grade: As Faculty of Record for co-op, review employer evaluations and student learning, and submit grades.- Teach: Contribute to professional development curriculum and teach workshops, seminars, and a semester long professional development course.- Support Relationships and Opportunities: Mediate student and employer challenges, provide advice on employment issues, develop co-op options, and enhance employer relationships, as able.- Support department: Provide departmental support in planning and execution of CO-OP + CAREER programming and events, such as Fairs and Expos. Be a strong campus partner and collaborator and an active member of Academic Affairs.Required Qualifications:- Bachelors degree with 1 ? 3 years related experience.Preferred Qualifications:- Masters degree with 1 year related experience.
