Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, Records and Graduation, the Enrollment Support Specialist is responsible for managing the student academic record and acts as an experienced guide who accompanies students as they interact with the University Registrar’s Office by providing the highest level of customer service, knowledgeable support through registration and records procedures, navigation of complex processes, and student advocacy. In collaboration with University Registrar’s Office staff, campus advisors, faculty, and academic support staff across campus, this position ensures the accuracy and validity of the student academic record. This position also represents the University Registrar’s Office at campus events, panels, and class visits.
-Masters degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or academic advising; or a combination of a bachelor’s degree plus equivalent training and experience. All Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. -Experience using student information systems, preferably Banner 9. -Ability to learn and use specific software packages related to fulfillment of responsibilities, e.g. Argos, Banner, etc. -Strong commitment to innovation as demonstrated by the ability to be proactive, dynamic, forward-thinking, strategic, and collaborative. -Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and foster collaboration with a wide variety of university clientele. -Excellent attention to detail. -One to three years of experience in a registrar’s, admissions, academic advising role, or higher education administration.
