The Quaker School at Horsham (TQS) is seeking a full-time, 10-month, K-5 Special Education teacher for our Sassafras Program, an ABA classroom of 6-10 students with complex challenges and a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The teacher will collaboratively plan and deliver appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities and provide direct and indirect instructional support to students in a positive environment. They will employ ABA strategies and techniques during instruction to improve the development of language, cognition and memory and instruct students in academic subjects using a variety of techniques, such as phonetics, multi-sensory learning and repetition, to reinforce learning and to meet students' varying needs and interests. They will teach socially acceptable behavior and reinforce social skills. An ideal candidate will have a joy of learning and working with children.
Requirements: Master’s degree in special education and ABA intervention experience are preferred.
