This position exists to provide outreach to prospective Career and Technical Education (CTE) students, to increase enrollment and retention efforts in CTE programs, and work with both internal and external stakeholders to increase equity, inclusion, and access opportunities for all students with emphasis on underrepresented and non-traditional populations. The position is responsible for increasing Perkins postsecondary accountability indicators including CTE postsecondary retention and placement, earned recognized postsecondary credential, and non-traditional program enrollment. The outreach specialist will create and deliver career awareness for RCTC's high demand workforce programs. Travel is required.
One or more years of career and technical education knowledge/experience
Demonstrated experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and special populations
Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with prospective CTE students, high school counselors and with community
Experience in social media marketing concepts
Knowledge in skills in computer software sufficient to perform job responsibilities
Valid Class D driver's license
Ability to travel independently on behalf of the college
Knowledge of two-year colleges
Experience in higher education CTE recruiting and CTE retention efforts
