Under Pharmacist general supervision, the Pharmacy Technician III – Endo/Allergy Clinics, will support ~20 prescribing providers in processing prior authorizations, durable medical equipment, and other medication access and clinical support activities for UCSD Health Endocrinology and Allergy clinics. Pharmacy Technicians in this setting will be responsible for review of clinical encounters and processing of tasks under the general supervision of clinic managers and pharmacy department leadership and staff.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
A minimum of five (5) years of retail pharmacy experience.
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Previous experience working with electronic health records (EHR).
Endocrinology and/or Allergy clinic experience.
Prior authorization pharmacy experience.
Durable medical equipment experience.
Patient assistance program experience.
Epic EHR experience (Electronic Health Records).
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
