Drake University's Division of Student Affairs is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Coordinator of Registered Student Organizations (RSO) position within the Student Inclusion, Involvement, and Leadership department. This position serves as the primary administrator of the RSO program. The position advises the Student Senate Treasurer as it pertains to the allocation and distribution of student-fee funds. This position oversees the registration process and associated forms for more than 140 RSOs in addition to serving as a reference and resource for student leaders, advisors, and the Drake community, while also serving as advisor to the Student Senate's Vice President of Student Organizations. The Coordinator facilitates various ways for students to get involved including the All-Campus Involvement Fair, RSO Leadership Development Series, RSO Advisor Seminar , and Orientation presentations. The coordinator manages the digital presence and resources for the RSO community while serving on campus, community, and professional association committees. This is an 11 month position.
Serve as primary administrator for the Registered Student Organization program within the SIIL Office. This includes oversight of registration policies and procedures and related paperwork, monitoring trends in higher education, and ensuring the program area and its management is in line with the department, division, university, state, and federal policies. The position is responsible for the development and management of the Resource Guide for Registered Student Organizations Handbook.
Manage and supervise the financial paperwork for 160+ student organizations and their expenditures. Work collaboratively with student and professional staff that maintain and monitor student organizational budgets. Advise the Student Body Treasurer and Student Senate Vice President of Student Organizations.
Provide resources and support to student organizations and programs. This position assists in the retention of students by supporting and developing student leaders, advises student organization leaders, and developments and implements programming. This includes develop and implement monthly RSO student leadership development series in addition to monthly RSO advisor development series. In collaboration with various campus partners, facilitate yearly involvement fair. Serve as an informal advisor, as it pertains to event planning, marketing, and use of student funds.
Serve as a team member of the Student Inclusion, Involvement, and Leadership (STIIL) team, within the division of student affairs and alongside the Director of Student Life, ensures the successful management of the Student Life Center.
