Position Overview: LWHS seeks qualified candidates for a full-time Spanish teacher for the 2021-22 school year, starting in August 2021
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching four sections. This teacher also should expect to be available to students for individual help outside of class, to serve as an advisor to a group of approximately 12 students and their families, and to participate in department and faculty meetings and co-curricular responsibilities.
Ideal candidates will have:
A minimum of three years teaching experience at the high school level
Fluency in oral and written Spanish
A deep knowledge of Spanish language and Hispanic cultures
Experience teaching accelerated, honors or AP courses
Familiarity with student-centered approaches to teaching language
