FDU Athletics is seeking qualified candidates for the positions of Men's Volleyball Graduate Assistant and Women's Volleyball Graduate Assistant. The positions will work directly with their program and assist the head coach in all facets of the program.

Assist coaches with practice, game-day preparation and execution
Assist in organizing team meals
Help with scheduling community service
Help to organize camps and clinics
Recruiting off-campus, calling recruits, email/text recruits and setting up on-campus visits
Set up individual tutoring and learning sessions with the help of our Academic Advisor
May participate in various fundraising, marketing, promotional and alumni relations activities
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Other duties as assigned
Coaching at the high school, club or collegiate level
Desire to coach long term
Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations
Bachelor’s Degree required
Acceptance into a graduate program at FDU
Must take NCAA recruiting exam within one week of hiring.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must be willing to travel and be available to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as required.
High level of initiative, coupled with the ability to work independently
Highly organized; able to prioritize and execute tasks
Must have a First Aid and CPR certification or obtain them during the 90-day Introductory Period. National Red Cross Certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with the university’s Motor Vehicle policy. A MVC check will be required at the time of hire and thereafter as deemed appropriate by the university. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the MVC check.
Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.

Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan located in Teaneck, NJ is home to 21 NCAA Division I teams. A member of the Northeast Conference, the Knights have had tremendous success in the classroom, in athletic competition, and giving back to the Bergen County community.
