The Assistant to the Vice Provost for Research and Dean, School of Nursing, will provide assistance to the Vice Provost/Dean (dual roles) in all aspects of his/her responsibilities. The Assistant will manage the Vice Provost/Dean’s calendar, make travel arrangements for Vice Provost/Dean and visiting guests, and maintains records housed in the Dean’s Office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages Vice Provost/Dean’s calendar, screens calls, visitors, and mail.
Answers emails, processes letters and correspondence with confidentiality.
Makes arrangements for conferences, receptions, meetings, and visiting guests.
Manages the Promotion and Tenure process through Interfolio.
Maintains all records housed in the Dean’s Office including but not limited to: faculty files consistent with the PA State Board regulations, NCLEX scores, and CCNE documentation.
Maintains procurement card for Vice Provost/Dean and Dean’s Office.
Requests work and service requisitions for the School of Nursing using FAMIS.
Performs related work as required for the School of Nursing.
Associates degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of administrative experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Excellent administrative, organizational and planning skills;
Proficiency utilizing Word, Excel, and Powerpoint;
Proficient use of email and internet;
Excellent communication skills;
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the Dean and School of Nursing’s affairs;
Ability to work with efficiency and accuracy;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of administrative experience.
Previous experience working with grants.
