Provide advising and assist with facilitation of the overall operation of the Opportunity College program to include articulated credit, dual credit, and dual enrollment. Working collaboratively with the Dual Credit Coordinator, the Dual Credit Advisor assists in recruitment, advising, and enrollment of dual credit students. The Dual Credit Advisor will report to the Dean of Academic Supports.
Serve as liaison to secondary schools for dual credit recruiting, advising, and enrollment events.
Work collaboratively with multiple areas of the college to ensure accurate and timely application entry and processing, registration, and billing for dual credit students.
Serve as advisor for dual credit students, both on campus and at high schools and ensure dual credit students receive necessary information as related to college services, activities, policies and procedures.
Assist with processing dual credit waivers and scholarships.
Assist with data management for dual credit.
Assist with high school to college transition activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Education, Counseling, or related field) and one year related experience, or equivalent.
Three to five years of experience.
Commitment to mission of comprehensive community college.
Record of successful experience as college advisor, counselor, instructor, or success coach.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
