The Global Immigration Team (GIT) is seeking a Sr. Business Operations Planner to drive operational excellence in operational and financial planning and execution spaces. This position requires comfort with ambiguity, analytical acumen, self-motivation, the ability to work across functions and teams and strong writing skills. In this role, the Sr. Business Operations Planner will be responsible for managing Global Immigration’s global operational and financial portfolio and looking around corners for potential changes to operational plans on behalf of the Global Immigration leadership team.
This role requires the ability to work autonomously and provide clarity to unclear problems. The successful candidate will work in multiple swim lanes simultaneously, communicate effectively with leadership, field questions from internal finance partners, be comfortable working with large datasets, write compelling narratives based on data and provide financial rigor for the whole Global Immigration Team. The right candidate for the role will be an integral cog that contributes to the continued success and growth of GIT.
Key Responsibilities: - Own strategic planning cycles and operational plan refreshes and reporting (e.g. quarterly guidance updates, bi-annual/annual operational planning cycles) - Design and drive goal and project planning and inspection for the leadership team, from the annual goal setting and project development process, to development of inspection mechanisms for goals and projects, including ownership of Global Immigration's Biweekly Review and Monthly Business Review forums. - Define and measure team organizational health and provide variance analysis against prior operational plans - Own the relationship with Finance on behalf of Global Immigration’s leadership team regarding financial and related headcount planning and reporting - Provide financial operational findings to the leadership team in advance of senior leadership reviews during long-term planning exercises - Participate in the brainstorming, writing, and rollout of regular business reviews for multiple teams across the organization (e.g. monthly and quarterly business reviews) - Use data to tell compelling stories and provide actionable insights to the leadership team and other members of GIT to drive operational excellence - Audit data and the mechanisms that provide it for continuous improvement opportunities, iterating and reinventing as necessary. - Coach and guide other team members on the use of tools and processes, serving as a trusted advisor and mentor. - Develop, deploy and improve team health supports, including awards, trainings, SOPs and best practices to provide motivation and tools. To account for ebbs and flows of planning and reporting cycles, engage in strategic projects to support team health/customer experience as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics - 4+ years of project/program/portfolio (non-financial) management - 1+ years of financial management/analysis or other quantitative analysis - Advanced competency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) - Experience in using SQL, VBA Script writing - Ability to handle highly confidential information - Ability to work within highly ambiguous environment Ability to work effectively independently
