St. Anselm’s Abbey School is an independent, Benedictine, Catholic school serving approximately 260 young men in grades 6-12. St. Anselm’s Abbey School seeks a teacher of Mathematics to start August 2021. Depending on candidates’ experience and availability, the position may be full-time or part-time. Candidates should indicate in their cover letter whether they wish to be considered for a full-time or part-time position.
Teach math classes to Middle School and Upper School students, including Advanced Placement Calculus AB and Multivariable Calculus.
Collaborate with other faculty members within the Mathematics Department to ensure consistency and continuity in the curriculum.
Participate actively in grade-level teaching teams and seek out opportunities for cross-curricular learning with teachers in other departments.
Support student success by providing individual and small-group tutorial instruction during study hall periods and after school.
Communicate proactively and regularly with parents, administrators and other faculty about student progress.
Contribute to the life of the school as a club moderator, advisor, and/or coach; serve on relevant faculty committees; attend faculty meetings, school assemblies, and occasional evening and weekend events.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Headmaster.

At least an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
Teaching experience strongly preferred, particularly at the middle school and/or high school level.
The flexibility to adapt to distance learning and effectively incorporate technology. Experience with online teaching tools would be an asset.
Strong classroom-management and community-building skills, and the ability to relate to and inspire adolescent young men.
A willingness to take on additional duties inside and outside the classroom.
