The Library Fiscal Administrator is responsible for overseeing travel and purchasing processes and approvals for the UC San Diego Library, the administration of the Library's extramural funds and activities (contracts & grants, gifts & endowments, and memoranda of understanding-MOU's). Perform pre-and post-award administration as well as overseeing compliance of express card transactions and purchase activities. Serve as the expert advisor on policies and procedures associated with these areas. Responsible for providing support in other fiscal areas including financial analysis, reconciliation and reporting, compliance and audit requirements, and fiscal closing. Will provide assistance with budgets, fund allocations, reporting and troubleshooting.
Proven experience analyzing and interpreting policies and procedures, and applying to a given situation.
Proficient experience with spreadsheets and databases to organize complex financial information and provide financial reporting.
Demonstrated experience researching, analyzing, and compiling large and/or complex data for evaluation and reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Knowledge of the principles and practices of fund accounting, budget projections, and cost analysis.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
