Responsibilities
Lead a team of 4 team members, comprising 2 Credit Managers and 2 Portfolio Managers
Forge a collaborative partnership with Business Heads / RMs to advise on credit issues and provide viable solutions for clients while adhering to risk and Wealth credit guidelines.
To provide credit advisory to Business Heads / Relationship Managers, as well as provide viable credit solutions to meet clients' credit needs through an efficient end to end credit process.
Work with Relationship Managers on complex credit transactions, starting from credit initiation to limit activation. This entails working collaboratively with Credit Risk, Credit Control and Legal & Compliance to provide a seamless credit journey for clients.
Handle a portfolio that ranges from standard credit files to large, complex structured credits.
Supervise the timely preparation and submission of credit application for complex credit requests in accordance with credit policy for approval.
Review credit-related documentation issues and assess collateral acceptability, address loan and security documentation requirements
Responsible for the timely submission of annual credit reviews for portfolio of accounts that are assigned to the team.
Maintain credit quality of the portfolio and to raise early alert cases promptly.
Regional responsibility for Portfolio Management includes counterparty limit monitoring, country limit management, MIS and risk reporting for Wealth credit portfolio, AIRB, portfolio review.
Undertake credit or risk-related / regulatory initiatives / projects to facilitate operational efficiency within Wealth, as well as enhance customer journey
Ensure strong risk culture within the business
Degree from relevant discipline with 10-15 years of related credit management experience.
Sound knowledge of credit, risk implications of credit structures and documentation requirements.
In-depth knowledge of private banking credit offering including but not limited to promoter share financing, single stock financing, large residential and commercial property financing, as well as non-standard PB credit offering such as pre-IPO financing and acquisition finance.
Good working knowledge of wealth investment products and retail banking products (real estate, credit card etc.).
Good understanding of credit portfolio management and risk management.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders
Strong analytical and writing skills.
