Princeton Day School seeks a School Counselor to join the Princeton Day School student services team and work primarily with students in grades PreK-12 providing support to help them succeed socially and emotionally. A key member of the student services team, health and wellness committee and academic affairs committee, the Counselor plays an integral role in all aspects of school life and works cooperatively with the rest of the team to ensure that mental, emotional and psychological needs are addressed in an empathetic and therapeutic manner at school. This position is a leave replacement commencing on August 26, 2021 until December 2021.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and a graduate degree in school psychology or counseling.
Preference and disposition to work as a team player in a collegial environment.
Excellent communication (written and oral) and human relations skills.
Understanding of culturally diverse children, parents and school personnel.
Experience with the culture and standards of an independent school is preferred but not required.
