We are looking for a Digital Content Strategist to manage the creation and distribution of SPDR ETF marketing materials targeting institutional investors and financial advisors. You will report to the Global Head of Content Marketing for the SPDR ETF business who will help prioritize projects and assign deadlines.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading key projects and daily activities to publish relevant content, drive customer engagement and work with marketing partners to promote our content through various marketing channels, ensuring overall campaign messaging is consistent across all mediums. You will also be responsible for content placement on our website to maximize client and prospect engagement.
You are self-motivated and excel at working across groups (cross departmental & external vendors), with strong communication, writing and editing skills. You have strong project management skills, excellent attention to detail and an ability to meet tight deadlines. As the Digital Content Strategist you will:
Draft, edit and review marketing materials produced within the SPDR ETF Marketing Group, including blogs, articles, web pages, product collateral, webinars, videos, podcasts, whitepapers, research reports and presentations.
Assist in updating existing marketing collateral, coordinating with the Strategy & Research team to update data in existing pieces, and adhering to content expiration dates. Evaluate whether or not the story and framing within each piece should be modified as relevant data points are updated.
Work with designers on images, charts, infographics and other design elements.
Optimize content through SEO to improve search rankings.
Coordinate with legal & compliance on collateral reviews to ensure it is appropriate for the intended audience and approved for use.
Manage content placement on our website, working closely with the digital publishing team to ensure content is properly published, maintained and promoted.
Manage our editorial calendar and communicate plan to broader business including global marketing team members and business partners.
Manage content syndication program to amplify reach of our thought leadership content.
Manage collection of data, trend analysis and reporting for content programs. Deliver analysis on the health of our content marketing, recommendations to optimize areas of underperformance and identify new opportunities.
Participate in strategy/brainstorming sessions as well as managing projects from ideation to final publication and beyond, working in partnership with the broader marketing organization to determine the best ways to effectively promote content to help ensure that what we create is used appropriately.
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
Bachelor's degree preferably with major in marketing or communications
4-7 years of relevant marketing communications experience; financial services experience a plus
Experience circulating approvals in regulated industries desired
Experience with producing all types of content formats, including traditional print formats (whitepapers, presentations and articles) as well as digital formats, such as blog posts, videos, podcasts, webcasts, infographics, and web copy) is essential
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which enable you to effectively interact with senior executives, investment teams and marketing partners, as well as external partners
Strategic and creative thinker with attention to detail
