Assistant Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer
Baptist Health South Florida (Baptist Health) seeks a dynamic, highly experienced executive to serve as its Assistant Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This is a unique opportunity to serve as the senior-most security executive in one of the largest health systems in the Southeast, located in and around the Miami-Dade area.
Baptist Health serves patients across 11 hospitals, dozens of ambulatory sites, a world class cancer center and an international medicine division, among other business units. Information security is a priority and a key area of focus for the health system’s Board and senior leadership team. The new CISO will report to the Senior Vice President, Chief Digital and Information Officer and provide the strategic leadership, planning and operational oversight for information security. The CISO is a highly visible leader across the enterprise. He/She has a sizeable team and budget. Baptist Health has committed significant investments over the next few years in security technology, process and governance. The CISO will be leading those efforts.
The ideal candidate for the CISO position will be an experienced executive with a track record of success leading information security, preferably in a complex setting. Prior experience in healthcare is a plus, but not a requirement. The CISO must be viewed as a trusted advisor who is a team player, collaborative, transparent, and solutions driven. He/She will be able to build the business case, and garner consensus with clinicians, staff, executives and the Board.
All nominations and applications will be handled with the utmost professional courtesy and confidentiality. Applications, expressions of interest, and nominations are welcome.
