St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks an intelligent, motivated, highly organized, and friendly individual to provide support for the Office of College Counseling. This position reports to the Director of College Counseling.
Essential Responsibilities and Functions
Serve as the first point of contact in the College Counseling Office.
Manage day-to-day functioning of the office.
Provide front-line service to parents, students, faculty and college representatives.
Receive and screen calls for college counselors and respond in a timely manner to various correspondents.
Maintain all college counseling records.
Prepare and assemble mailings (electronic and standard).
Schedule student and family appointments for three full-time college counselors.
Coordinate scholarship selection appointments and interviews.
Oversee college representative visitation program.
Assist the testing coordinators with submission and management of documents to Services for Students with Disabilities, planning for the PSAT, AP, and any other official or unofficial standardized test administration.
Participate in official training sessions for national standardized tests administrations
Gather information for use in college counseling publications.
Assist with set up and implementation of college counseling programming and events.
Manage various college counseling databases, specifically Veracross and Scoir
Reconcile monthly receipts and budget for the College Counseling office.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Warm, welcoming demeanor and the ability to establish excellent rapport with diverse students and their families.
Excellent editing, filing, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive student records.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint and with Veracross/Scoir
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work with adolescents.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive student records
Education and Experience
High school diploma required; college degree strongly preferred.
Prior office experience greatly preferred; prior experience in a school office highly desirable.
