Step into an instrumental role helping to support a growing and dynamic private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial focused on guiding individuals through life transitions.
The client service associate / planning assistant supports the many different tasks for which the practice is responsible and ties directly to the overall business plan of the practice. This position allows the advisors the assurance they need to know that the practice is being maintained and supported within Ameriprise Financial guidelines. At the same time, the CSA allows advisors and paraplanners to focus more time and energy on client acquisition and deepening client relationships.
This role provides client relationship and general practice management support through gathering client data, helping prepare other client deliverables, organizing client files, setting up new business and performing other business management tasks as needed. Responds to ad hoc requests, coordinates/tracks projects and/or manages business-as-usual projects such as organizing the logistics of a client seminar.
Responsibilities and Time Allocation - Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.
80% Administrative / Business Management / Product Solutions
Prepare documentation for client signature and follow-up for completion
Open new accounts to support advisor recommendations and provide disclosure documents
Initiate trades as directed by advisors
Copy and follow-up with home office on related issues
Assist with preparation of preliminary financial planning recommendations and initial product solutions for advisor review and use in client meetings
Prepare charts, graphs, reports and other visual aids to be used in client meetings
Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accounts
Assist the paraplanner(s), associate financial advisor(s) and advisor(s)
Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisor(s)
20% Client Care
Review and update client information as needed for client review meetings
Resolve client service problems
Maintain client documents in electronic storage system
Document client contact/calls in CRM system
Provide interim support for front desk, greeting clients upon arrival, answering incoming phone calls, and directing requests to appropriate team members.

Education and Other Designations:
College degree or higher
Already have or be able to study for and pass exams for federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and state life, accident and health insurance licenses.
