Position Description: The Technology Integrator helps facilitate meaningful technology integration, teaches computer science classes, provides training and support to students and faculty in a virtual and physical academic learning environment, and plays a key role in leading and further developing Nightingale’s K-12 academic technology, Makerspace & STEM initiatives, computer science curriculum, and interdisciplinary technology projects.
Master’s degree in educational technology or related field preferred.
A minimum of 3-years classroom teaching experience.
Knowledgeable about instructional design, STEM, teaching pedagogy, iPad/Chromebook integration, and computer science.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Demonstrated background of engaging with and adapting to diverse learners, creating developmentally-appropriate and varied activities, along with a commitment to the work of equity and inclusion, particularly within a school community and in the classroom.
Inspire, encourage, and support faculty and department heads with creative and interdisciplinary curriculum planning technology projects and initiatives.
Teach computer science classes.
Identify opportunities to collaborate across disciplines using technology resources.
Collaborate with teachers, library staff, students, and division deans to support and integrate STEM and digital literacy initiatives into the classroom.
Facilitate technology professional development opportunities that focus on leveraging academic technology into curriculum planning and instruction.
Attend grade-level and divisional meetings to assist teachers with integrating technologies into their curriculum planning.
Serve on the middle school advisor team.
Partner with the departmental technology integrators and technology department to plan, coordinate, and manage Nightingale’s K-12 1:1 program.
Collaborate with other departmental members to coordinate all aspects of development, training, and implementation of initiatives and curriculum.
Attend at least one admissions event each school year.
