![]() Academic Program Professional 2 Stanford University Academic Program Professional 2 Job Code: 4112 Grade: J FTE: 100%, Exempt 1 Year Fixed-Term w/Option to Renew Department of Bioengineering, School of Engineering and School of Medicine The Department of Bioengineering is seeking an Academic Program Professional 2 to serve as the Head of Research for our Emergence program. The Emergence Program's mission is to inspire, educate, equip, and support Stanford students, researchers and faculty to translate their research into initiatives with impact. Our program focuses on (1) planet health (innovations to improve environmental and planetary health and to provide for growing the population in a sustainable way -- e.g., plastic pollution, carbon capture) and (2) societal health (innovations to address global and large scale social health challenges -- e.g., social and environmental determinants of health, biosecurity, food as medicine). As our Head of Research, you will develop new educational courses supporting relevant research and build entrepreneurial infrastructure to help launch an ecosystem creating awareness, catalyzing innovations, and launching companies to improve sustainability and societal health. We are looking for a creative, motivated individual who can help us build partnerships with entities on and off campus to support this work and convert ideas into reality. Department of Bioengineering Stanford Bioengineering is a dynamic and rapidly growing department within the Stanford Schools of Engineering and Medicine.
