A counselor in charge of the programming and direction of a specific section of camp (Art Camp, Drama Camp, or Kungaloosh Camp).

Specialty Counselor
  • Manage the programming and direction of a specific area of camp (Art Camp, Drama Camp, or Kungaloosh Camp).
  • Purchase and ensure the proper maintenance and storage of materials necessary for their area of camp.
  • Engage campers in specialty activities as related to their area of camp.
  • Write, teach, and perform songs, skits, and artwork as related to the weekly theme.
  • Engage in collaborative and imaginative storytelling through improvisation.
  • Assist with the management of drop-off and pick-up of campers each morning and afternoon.
  • Attend weekly meetings with administrative staff.
  • Document health-related incidents and submit them to the Health Director in a timely manner.
  • Report to Co-Camp Directors and Assistant Camp Director regarding daily responsibilities and assignments.
