Description of Work:
Performs all duties related to advising undergraduate students through their program(s) of study. Maintains degree audit files. Position serves as liaison with College of Education & Human Services and University committees and between faculty and students. Assists in recruitment and retention efforts.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus two years of demonstrated experience with one-to-one college student interaction, preferably in advising, but equivalent experience will be considered. Experience must demonstrate an ability to learn extensive requirements, policies and procedures, and software that support the functions of advising. Must have demonstrated organizational, time management, and writing skills. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations necessary.
Master's degree in education, counseling, human sciences, liberal arts or related field preferred. Presentation skills including the development and dissemination of materials and workshops related to advising and recruitment desirable. Prefer ability to communicate effectively with large groups and possess a general understanding of admissions, retention, and graduation requirements. Prefer experience working with advising software programs, including but not limited to student information systems.
Posted Salary: $39,000 minimum
