Summary of Duties:
Serve as principal fiscal advisor and provide comprehensive financial and administrative support to the Chair/Director(s) of History, School of Politics, Philosophy, & Public Affairs, Fine Arts, Digital Technology, & Culture, Data Analytics, and other assigned areas. Manage the administrative and financial functions of the assigned departments and/or schools. Supervise and direct the work of financial support staff. Accountable for the allocation and management of resources and program results. Provide fiscal analysis and accountability and manage departmental and grant budgets. Participate in planning efforts and in implementation of department and university policies and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheet, database, word processing, e-mail, and calendaring software.
Experience with budget, personnel, and management of financial resources.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
More than 2 years of fiscal experience in an academic department in a higher education setting.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with WSU systems
Experience with the Workday system.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
