General summary/purpose: The Maternal Newborn Health Team’s Program Officer will provide program support in the areas of maternal and newborn health, with a wide range of potential activities, including supporting MCGL’s maternal mental health (MNH), antenatal care, and respectful maternity care portfolios. This includes working in close collaboration with MCGL’s MNH Team, including the MNH Director, Sr. Development Technical Officer, Sr. Program Officer, Technical Advisors and Sr. Program Coordinator. Program Officer will also manage day-to-day planning, development, and execution of projects within MCGL’s MNH team, and ensure strong collaboration between headquarters and field teams, as well as partners external to the organization.
USAID’s Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a five-year USAID funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance, and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning.
